our pastor, Rev. Dr. Kevin T. Moore
Pastor Moore is best known as a pastor, preacher, and motivational speaker. To prepare himself for pastoral duties, pastor Moore ensured that he attained the kind of education needed to guide him throughout his pastoral ministry. A graduate of Morris Brown College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Organizational Management and Leadership, Pastor Moore has also completed a three-year Master of Divinity degree program in two years at the Interdenominational Theological Center (ITC) in Atlanta, GA, and with honors. Pastor Moore has also completed a Doctorate of Ministry program of study in Theology, and as a part of his program of study, he completed a required study abroad tour at Universidade Metodista de São Paulo (Methodist University) in Brazil.
Pastor Moore, as a preacher, comes from a long line of pastors; he is a third-generation pastor who believes that the word of God has life-changing power. Ordained as an Itinerant Elder in the African Methodist Episcopal Church in 2011, Pastor Moore worked in the vineyard as a Connectional Evaluation Chair and Connectional Worship Leader for the Young People’s department of the AME Church, and he served as an Ella Baker Trainer for the Children’s Defense Fund and the Black Community Crusade for Children, working very closely with Marian Wright-Edelman. Pastor Moore also serves as a member of the Board of Trustees for Turner Theological Seminary. Pastor Moore served as the pastor of Bethel AME Church in Albany, GA, and serves as the Chairman and CEO of Bethel Housing Community Development Inc. He’s also the former pastor of Saint Paul AME Church in Macon, GA.
Pastor Moore today is without a doubt an inspiration and inspirational speaker. During his years in the ministry, he has demonstrated his ability to preach across generational lines through the relevant and riveting messages he delivers. As a preacher of the Gospel, he strives to feed God’s people spiritually, lead them politically, pray for them daily, and serve them diligently. He not only grounds his messages in the word, but he uses research, secular anecdotes, stories, and popular culture references to achieve synergy between the sacred word he preaches and the world. A child of God, Pastor Moore believes in the Lord first and himself second; and he boldly declares to all generations of God’s Kingdom: “I am a masterpiece because a piece of the Master is in me.”
