Wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me. For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.
Acts 1:4-5

"But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.    Acts 1:8

And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.   Acts 2:1-4

As Christian adults we should truly believe that adversity is GOD's opportunity, and that the HOLY SPIRIT will visit and remain with us and continue to bless us according to the riches of GOD in glory.  This kind of Christian maturity tightens the bonds of love between the Word and the believers.

Those whose lives are guided by the power of the HOLY SPIRIT will show compassion, understanding, and love for others when they are faced with situations, sorrow, or what may appear as insurmountable problems.  As adult Christians we must maintain our faith as we realize and believe that GOD loves us all, and that whatever circumstances we face they can be resolved by placing complete confidence and trust in Him.  There is power in the HOLY SPIRIT that can turn a life around and fill it with joy and peace.

Why should we worry about church growth (and the LORD added to the church daily those that were being saved.  Acts 2:47) if we are faithful, fellowship, pray, preach, and teach in sincerity and under the guidance of the HOLY SPIRIT all things will be added to us.  Our congregation will increase and we will experience growth and expansion without fail.
